Rydges Gold Coast Airport

Due to a cancellation in our flight, we ended up staying the day and night. Thank you to all the staff they were lovely and a special thanks to Aaron, who my daughter enjoyed her little conversation with him. Pool was really nice and the rooms were perfect. A lifesaver with an early flight the next morning. And the mattress was amazing. Thank you. We also had dinner upstairs and we enjoyed the food. Thanks again.

I stayed here during my visit to Gold coast during the summer and my overall stay experience was very pleasant. The hotel is located just beside the airport, if you're arriving by bus/train, the station is located in walking range. The main attractions being the surfers paradise, the beaches and the wildlife sanctuary are all accessible with direct buses from this station. The room itself was great, spacious, clean and felt modern. The staff was friendly and accommodated our request for a last minute change to get a twin bed room. I didn't get to experience the dining area but the hotel was giving a free drink if you wanted one. I'd recommend this hotel as a good place to stay if you're in the gold coast

Having a love for commercial aviation, my wife and I decided to give this place a try for the weekend doing plane spotting, considering it is only metres away from the terminal. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful decor and how clean the place was. The staff at reception were welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and offer free WiFi. There is a mini fridge and tea / coffee facilities. The airport view from our room wasn't great, but the views from the 7th floor restaurant were amazing. From spectacular views over the ocean, uninterrupted views over the tarmac, and runway to the hills in the distance, all this made for a relaxing time. The restaurant is open to guests and the public. Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and a fully equipped gym. Our weekend away was amazing, and we will be back for sure.

First time staying at a hotel due to a canned flight, the room was beautiful with up to date finishings. Bed was big & comfy, Rydges has always had awesome beds. My bathroom was clean Staff were well presented, welcoming & helpful including the cleaning staff. The atmosphere open & clean Overall really nice experience despite circumstance. I would recommend hotel stays prior to flights

Location is convenient for travellers. Rooms are only average for the price. Quality of bed linen, toiletries average - one ply toilet paper. Food at Salty Fox VERY average - battered fish so oily could not finish ( left a puddle of oil on the plate), steak so tough had to saw it into very small pieces to be able to chew. I would only stay here and eat here through convenience when flying. Otherwise I would definitely choose an alternative venue. Quite disappointed- glad we decided not to stay a third night.

Mixed thoughts on this accommodation. On the outset appears to be a nice place to stay . The majority of our stay was good. The rooms were basic but what we needed and I guess price wise for 2 people not bad. Not really ocean views in my eyes, but it's interpretation, I guess. Rooms seem clean enough. It's a little bit of a mixed bag with decor, though. I'm obviously no designer, but it feels like multiple people picked the decor, and they weren't on the same page. I don't understand how a 7 storey hotel would be built with only 50 carparks available how does that even make sense. It was NOT explained to me on arrival that you may need to park in an airport budget car park. And it would also cost you extra to do that. I did feel sorry as the lady I spoke to also got caught in the crossfire from another guest unable to get a park in either the hotel or the paid lot as it was full. Seriously this is obviously something that happens regularly. As a hotel, fix it. I would not recommend this hotel, except as a last resort. We ate upstairs at the salty fox and that was ok. Did notice how filthy the blue rugs in reception were as I left each morning.

We had a very early flight next morning so it was convenient to stay overnight. Staff very friendly, friendly and courteous. As there are two restaurants on site it is not necessary to seek somewhere for dinner although there is a cafe only a few minutes away at the airport, without having to go through security, where you can buy light snacks and it is also licenced which is where we ate we didn't want a heavy dinner with an early start the next morning.
